Online GED instruction for adult Virginians

eLearn Virginia is an online program for adult Virginians who want to prepare for the GED tests online.

How do I know if eLearn Virginia is right for me?

Online learning isn't the right for everyone. To be successful, not only will you need to feel comfortable using technology and navigating the web, you will also need to have a high-level of motivation and be able to work independently. You will also need to have appropriate reading skills and be willing to commit to a learning plan, including working on your lessons a minimum of 3-5 hours a week.

There are other criteria you may need to meet as well. Your local adult education program will be able to help you find out if enrolling in eLearn Virginia is the right fit for you.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is free! Just follow these easy steps:

1: Find out what you already know

You must have recent scores on the TABE, CASAS, Official Practice Test (OPT), or GED Tests to participate. Contact your local education center to schedule a time to take an assessment. To find a local program or see if your scores qualify you to work with eLearnVA, call 1-888-589-9003.

2: Get an email address

You will need a valid email account in order to receive information about eLearnVA and communicate with your online mentor. You should also have basic computer skills and feel comfortable sending and opening email messages.

3: Complete our online learning tutorial

Studying online isn't for everyone. To know what to expect from your online lessons and find out if online learning is right for you, complete the eLearnVA online learning tutorial, by clicking the link on the right side of the screen.

4: Register by clicking the "Register" on the menu bar at the top of this page. You will need to provide a valid email address, phone number, and assessment scores in order to successfully enroll.
